May Exhibitions

I am off to teach an oil stick workshop at R&F and thought I would post upcoming exhibitions in May. It is very exciting to have my work exhibited in these venues with such good artists. I will be sure to take some photos and post  after the openings.

 

Making their Mark features work by Amber George, David Kidd, Chase Langford, Maria O'Malley, Audrey Phillips and Lisa Pressman. Like fingerprints, artist’s lines and marks have unique characteristics that differentiate one artist's work from another. This show explores the variety and beauty of mark making, ranging from straightforward linear graphite marks to intuitive gestural gouges. The over riding theme that runs through all of the artist’s work is the intention to let the mark speak for itself. Artists Amber George, Maria O'Malley, Audrey Phillips, and Lisa Pressman will be at the opening reception.

Curated by Amber George, the show is the first exhibition in the gallery's Artist Curates series. Tuesday, May 3
