When I say that I nearly fell off my chair, stopped breathing, got the chills, and cried at the same time, I am not exaggerating. It's collections like this that make me remember why I fell in love with fashion to begin with. When I was younger (I will make reference to this again when I write about Badgley Mischka) I wanted to be an evening wear designer. Therefore, I have always had a major soft spot when it comes to gorgeous gowns, particularly ones that are destined for the Oscars and other red carpet events. But my god, Marchesa pulled a move that even I didn't see coming. Known for their stunning creations, Marchesa upped the anty and pulled out a collection to die for (I am quite sure that Rachel Zoe is dying somewhere right now). They have always made gorgeous gowns, but I have never seen such incredibly innovative pieces that are also heart stoppingly feminine. Enjoy.
