MATCHBOOK MAGAZINE

If online magazines are the way of the future, Matchbook Magazine proving that this transition will be even easier than we thought.  I have no idea how I stumbled upon it but, Matchbook is the perfect reading material for the girl who is a little bit Martha, likes pretty things, and is interested in finding out the newest and the latest in the fashion world.  In other words, this magazine is Pineterest with smart writing, so yea- it's kind of amazing.  Here is my favorite style guide from this month's issue:

And here is where we start the campaign to get Jack Germain in an issue!!

FAMILY ISN'T A WORD, IT'S A SENTENCE.

Speaking of Rushmore, last night I rewatched (for the 1,476 time) my most favorite movie, The Royal Tenenbaums. I remember seeing this movie in the theater when I was sixteen and I couldn't get over Gweneth's wardrobe, or personality for that matter. I have never wanted to be someone so badly. From the chocolate Birkin to the caramel colored fur and those custom made striped Lacoste dresses, Margot Tenenbaum was the epitome of retro, wasp, 70's style fashion.

After going through all of the bonus features on the double disk DVD, I stumbled upon the original trailer. Watching this felt like time traveling in that I remember seeing it on my couch at home and thinking, "I am going to waste so many hours of my life watching this movie." And ya know what- I was right.
