A $3,814.80 tax payment was made Thursday on their property, said Kevin Corbid, director of taxpayer services in Washington County.
The payment included a $74.80 late-payment penalty.
A spokeswoman said Thursday that the Bachmanns corrected the “oversight” immediately after it came to their attention.
“As soon as they realized the mistake, they paid it right away,” spokeswoman Rachel Horn said.
Horn wasn’t sure if the Bachmanns have been late before on their taxes.
Bachmann’s DFL challengers, Tarryl Clark and Maureen Reed, both paid their property taxes on time this month, the Stearns County and Washington County websites show.

Here's a few:
Ofcourse bachmann would pay her taxes late!
That's her passive aggressive way of showing you all how she believes that the rich should not pay taxes-- but still enjoy all the perks! Like franking

No doubt she will blame her property taxes and the late fee on Democrats, even though Pawlenty has done more than any politician to raise the tax burden on home owners. I also agree that this is hardly a front page story, though it does demonstrate yet again that Bachmann's mind is not at home. She isn't minding the store while her over-inflated ego is off in the cable news clouds.

Notice too that they HAD to point out that her DFL opponents paid theirs on time. I bet Mark is proud that his name is all over this steaming pile of Times writing.
For irony, here is Bachmann yakking away about fiscal responsibility and "getting our house in order":
