While we're on the topic of buying me things, I can't seem to get my mind off of these incredible Balenciaga boots. They have been in the glossy's for months, but it wasn't until I saw a boy no older than 20 rocking them on the subway platform, that I began to experience extreme jealousy and desire. It was only then that I started to brainstorm on what useless things I could eliminate from my spending to be able to justify the purchase of these $1,275 boots. I mean, do I really need to eat more than 1 meal a day and would it really be that bad if that meal were a hot pocket? Who needs air conditioning in the middle of the summer or a heater in the winter? Not this girl! My brand new boots and newly revitalized ego will keep me warm! As for the rent, who needs it? These shoes were made for looking hardcore on the streets, and you know what isn't hardcore- sleeping on a pillow top surrounded by rose printed wall paper- that's what!
Obviously I am kidding, but I really have been worshiping these shoes for quite some time now. Lucky for me, according to my calculations and, they will be mine in approximately 1.5 years...even if I have to buy them off some 20 year old kid's feet.

LARA STONE GETS MARRIED
This past weekend my favorite Dutch model, Lara Stone, got married to Little Britain comedian David Walliams. Stone has become synonymous with the term "curvy model" and has successfully brought some voluptuousness back to the runways. Her wedding day was no different. Stone flaunted her flawless figure down a different kind of runway in a £30,000 (that's euros people) custom made Givenchy wedding gown. After the ceremony she changed into a gold embellished Givenchy mini dress which was slightly reminiscent of Balenciaga's Spring 2007 metal leggings, but in full body form (think C-3PO...but sexier).

SPRING 2010 ADVERTISEMENTS
Let me start off by saying that I am experimenting with the no caps thing. I am not happy about it as I actually write in all caps in real life. But at the end of the day, if no one can read the blog, then what the hell is the point.
Since fourth grade I have been making inspiration books composed of magazine tear-outs. I have a binder for each year since 1994 and nothing makes me happier than looking back on old advertisements. Sure, Tavi (for the record, I think she's great) posted pictures from her new Prada book of the Spring 2000 ad campaign with the lipstick skirts, but does she actually have it? Well, I do. I'm not bragging or anything, but as a 9 year old I was way ahead of my time and should be an inspiration to fashion icons everywhere.
Every season I look forward to the new ads and can't help but wonder what I will think of them in the years to come. Looks fade, designers go bankrupt, and magazines disappear, but the pages enclosed within sheet protectors and labeled by designer, magazine, year, and season...well those will last forever.
