Is Mary Lahammer Revising the History of Bachmann's "Beginnings"?

Mary Lahammer on MinnPost:

More than ten years ago I called Michele Bachmann for her first television interview. She was on her way to knocking out an incumbent state senator. She wasn't really interested in being on television back in 2000, but that quickly changed. We'll have that rarely seen footage tonight on Almanac along with the story of the Minnesota lawmaker who suggested she should first run for office. It's a candid look at the congresswoman that has America talking.

Hold on there.... Didn't Michele Bachmann herself say it was GOD ALMIGHTY - not some politician- who first told Michele to run?

And there was a witness to God's intervention in Michele Bachmann's career - her husband Marcus... as DB reader "eric z" noted in the comments:

You posted earlier about Marcus the Silent.

It's scrolled now into "older posts" and that's unfortunate.

Recalling early myth, forgotten by many, it was Marcus the Messenger.

God approached the man of the family, and said have your wife run for Congress; or that's how Michele told the yarn.

I would be most intrigued to hear from the one who got the message; how it was accompanied by bodily perceptions, etc., did God speak good English or with a Middle East accent, did God say to fast or was that a Marcus invention, since getting the entire story from one licensed by the State as a therapist, to treat those who might be delusional seems newsworthy to me.

Paul, after an epiphany on the road to Damascus wrote numerous letters explaining his insight.

We, instead, have Marcus the Silent.

I find that a bit selfish of the man. He should share. Even absent a fee-paying arrangement.

Was it God or a politician that urged Bachmann to marry Marcus, go to law school and run for office? Let's go to the videotape:
