Michele Bachmann Fellow Traveler Bradlee Dean Claims that Obama is a "Domestic Enemy"
He follows up by responding to DB reader PR Chris:
Update: Michele Bachmann has done two fundraisers for Bradlee Dean. She should be asked what she thinks of his message.
Dump Bachmann toilet paper is Michele Bachmann up close and personal
Although we had no part in it, we here at Dump Bachmann are flush with pride over the latest piece of Bachmannalia to hit the shelves—Dump Bachmann toilet paper.
Each sheet is emblazoned with an image of our 6th District congresswoman with that vacant look in her eyes, along with one of three slogans: “Wipe Away Ignorance!,” “Don’t Be Anti-American!,” and “Do Your Duty!”. At only $9.95 a roll, it’s a must-have for your next political fundraiser.
DemStore.com also sells Sarah Palin toilet paper. Or if you want to have your bathrooms gender-balanced, you can roll with Dick Cheney, George Bush and John McCain t.p.
The Bachmann folks will no doubt poo-poo this new promotional item for Michele. But we’re finding it hard to wipe the smile off our face—especially when we think of what a perfect fit this is for Bachmann’s friends at ASSS.

Okay. Let's just lay it all out on the table right now.
I cried.
Just a little. But I did.

If you know me at all, you know that my love for Elton runs deep. From a very young age I loved Elton's costumes (particularly the Donald Duck), his flamboyancy, and his voice and starting a year and a half ago, I fell in love with Gaga for all of the same reasons. I would say more but to be honest, I'm speechless (oh yea, I went there.)
Friends in Action
Though there's heavy snow all around Germany, the much awaited 33rd Fessenbach Jubilee still pushed through. The participants and spectators don't mind the cold weather and all are in high spirit so with my German and pinay friends assigned in one of the stalls there. We have lots of fun while watching the parade.

Steven Baris
Steven Baris is an artist working in Philadelphia. The paintings are oil and acrylic. I suggest going to his website and looking at each series. Each one shows an intense and focused exploration of ideas and attributes. I am attracted to the wonderful use of color, space and use of transparency and opaqueness.
Statement:
I characterize my paintings as spatial images. Space is the lens through which I best visualize the contemporary moment. Even more, it is how I make sense of my own biography, having grown up in decidedly non-urban spaces of Indian reservations throughout the West. Having since migrated to the most extensively built-up region of the continent, I have become interested in the derivative spaces of thoroughly constructed environments. My paintings attend to the spatial consequences of the countless structures that we routinely pass by and occasionally enter.
My influences are many and extend into the early 20th century, including works by El Lissitzky, Moholy Nagy, and Stuart Davis. I am interested in how these and other more recent artists have registered their own contemporary moment and the unprecedented transformations of interior and exterior space.

JOHN HAMM HOSTS SNL
John Hamm did his best to appear unsexy on SNL last night, but he did not succeed. Wearing a teensie tiny pair of jean shorts and pretending to be a homosexual construction worker isn't going to deter me! My favorite skit is featured below and had me laughing my head off. And even though he had a half pony tail, mafioso necklaces, and was covered in placenta..he was shirtless with suspenders and skinny black studded jeans. Nice try John Hamm!
SERGIO!

Former Republican Party Chair Ron Carey to be Michele Bachmann's New Chief of Staff

Can You Say Predicament?
January 29th, 2010
Former Republican Party of Minnesota Chair Ron Carey is going to be Congresswoman Michele Bachmann’s Chief of Staff starting in February,
Thoughts?
My first one is where should I go for vacation in October? I figure my volunteering on the campaign will be about as welcome as a root canal with Carey in charge for the 2010 grind. Look our shared history of dislike for each other’s work is going to be a problem.
I got the news yesterday and am still digesting it so I am not sure if it is good or bad. But I am leaning towards bad.
More later on this, maybe. But I would appreciate some thoughts from people.
Do you think this is a mistake? Could it cost her her seat?

WHAT? Bachmann’s strange comments, her associations with Ron Paul and the tea party groups, and you ask if her Chief of Staff is going to cost her the seat? Hardly! But at least you’ll have someone to pin the blame on now if she loses. congrats.
Take home message. Even the Republican base thinks Michele Bachmann is a kook.
Michele Bachmann Going AWOL on Republican Congressional Meeting With President Obama
Minn Post has the story. I wonder if anyone will miss her.
Parade's Scene and Seen
While waiting for the Offenburg parade to start, we first have lunch at Guglhupf, a local restaurant in the city. They really serve the best schnitzel and potato soup. We then browse around the city and buy some foodstuff at Asia Shop.
Here are some of the sidelights and highlights of the parade
Kids and other spectators are also wearing carnival costumes.
Wine stalls, its very cold liquor makes the body warm.
An improvised kaputt tire needs repair
Wearing just a vest is not the best winter outfit with minus degrees temperature
There are lots of confettis thrown at us, the school kids enjoyed it very much
The participants takes some spectators and jailed them
