Independence Party Promoting Candidate Bob Anderson at TC Gay Pride

This was forwarded by a DB reader:

The turnout at the Pride Festival in downtown Minneapolis has been fabulous. We have decided to participate in the Pride Parade tomorrow morning and encourage you to come along and walk down Hennepin Avenue with us. Here is how you can join in the fun:

Come to the corner of Hennepin Avenue and 3rd Street, no later than 10:30AM tomorrow (SUNDAY). Ask for the Horner2010 location and then walk down 3rd Street to join us. Here is a map of the area of downtown to meet us at:

Afterward, come stop by our Parade Festival booth to meet and greet the candidates and festival goers, grab some wonderful Pride food and or take in a concert.

The Pride Parade is the largest parade in Minnesota with 40,000 viewers. We hope to see you tomorrow!

Senate District 60 Chair

I contacted Tarryl Clark's campaign to see if their campaign would be having a presence at Pride. Staffers were at Pride today and will be at Pride tomorrow according to Carrie Lucking, spokesperson for the campaign. Tarryl Clark participating in in district events this weekend, and so will not be making a personal appearance at Pride. Lucking also made the point that Clark has the endorsement of the Human Rights Campaign and Stonewall DFL.

Bob Anderson holds socially conservative political views, so it is surprising that he is campaigning at Twin Cities Pride.
