ALLSAINTS JELLY POOL PARTY

This weekend was pretty much like any other. Food and beer was consumed, music was listened to, and sunshine was absorbed. The only difference being that instead of sitting in Tompkins Square park listening to my ipod and eating take-out Westville market sides, I was at the ALLSAINTS Weekly Jelly Pool Party at the Williamsburg waterfront.

If you aren't familiar with ALLSAINTS, they are an uber hip British retailer specializing in women's and men's fashions with a dark and edgy twist. A few months ago they took downtown New York by storm when they opened up their gorgeous new flagship in Soho. Flash forward a few months later, and ALLSAINTS is popping up everywhere, most notably in Brooklyn where they have partnered with the Williamsburg Summer Concert series, which is celebrating it's fifth year anniversary.

This past Sunday I decided to go check out the scene for myself and it didn't fail to disappoint.
Despite the fact that it was 96 degrees and sunny, the fashion savvy hipsters, bartenders, and celebs dressed in their Sunday black and came out to party. The event, consisting of live music from the Murder City Devils, Obits, Jeff the Brotherhood, and Silverghost, is free and there are tons of other activities to keep you preoccupied as well. From the food (homemade tacos, fresh pizza and organic meats) to the drinks ($3 Dark and Stormy's and free beer, if you're V.I.P.) to the make-your-own photo flip books, this awesome waterfront event is the perfect way to spend the afternoon. Lucky for you, the event will continue every Sunday through August 29th, so gather your best buds and put on your favorite pair of black denim cut offs and come join the party. Don't have anything to wear? Well then head on over to the ALLSAINTS store and get up to 50% off of their signature drapey dresses and buttery leather boots. Problem solved.
