Rep. Michele Bachmann won’t be meeting and greeting her constituents in St. Cloud today, after all.
Bachmann, R-Stillwater, was scheduled to have a public meet-and-greet event at Ciatti’s Ristorante this afternoon, the St. Cloud Area Chamber of Commerce announced Thursday.
Hours after the initial announcement, the Chamber moved the event to its office and said it was open to Chamber members only.
By Thursday evening, the event was canceled after Bachmann’s office determined she had a scheduling conflict, Chamber President Teresa Bohnen said.
A few comments:
"Even I can admit that this is pretty ridiculous of Bachmann. To announce an open forum and then move it to their offices, hmmm ok, but then have it only open to council members, this will not win hearts anytime soon."
"Well at least we will be able to continue to go to Ciatti's now. I love the food there 'but with bachmann having been there it would have left a awful stench in the place with all the Bullsh*t she says and beleives that we wouldn,t have ever been able to go back."
