Michele Bachmann Called Out to Return to District

Dump Bachmann had an on site photographer at the Lake Elmo parade. From our intrepid reporter and photographer:

It was a beautiful day for the Fall Festival parade in Lake Elmo. Michele and her team (sans Marcus!) rode in an Army "deuce-and-a-half" truck, although it's doubtful anyone onboard actually ever served in the military. After I got some pics from the street as they were waiting in line to roll, I hopped up on a steep embankment and began shooting from above. Michele clearly didn't recognize the face behind the camera and sunglasses, nor did the lying Sergio Gor, as they both started waving happily. Michele even got a small child decked out in an army hard-hat helmet in on the act. But after awhile, it was clear she realized she'd been had, and her smile turned to a scowl.

Tarryl Clark's campaign successfully called Michele Bachmann out. She's now returned to the district to campaign. As commenter Anna notes:

You know damage control is in overdrive when she has to actually show up in the district -- she pulled out of the straw vote and apparently cancelled her Miami speaking event. Wow. Clark campaign is really making a dent in Bachmann's "fly around and ignore your district" lifestyle.

In any case the Bachmann lies are spinning out of control at this point, especially her lie about support of the legacy amendment. Lying about Pelosi's drinking habits or your opponent's record or conveniently revising history, or even misrepresenting the POTUS is ok with Minnesota Republican and swing voters . . . but lying about support of hunters and fishermen . . . she's committed a cardinal sin with that one, and iGor really stuck his foot in it with his lame statements. Even Andy Parrish can't seem to pull up from the nose dive. It looks like an ugly augur-in at this point.

Well, the good news is she'll now have to spend more time in district to atone for her sin. The gap must be closing or she wouldn't be racing back to Minnesota.
