Garrison Keillor Calls Michele Bachmann an Embarrassment, Spokester Sergio Gor Gets Defensive

Strib has the story.

Keillor wrote that Lake Wobegon was “smack in the middle of Minnesota — in Minnesota's sixth congressional district,” and said it was “embarrassing to me and a great many Minnesotans” that Rep. Michele Bachmann represented the district.

In the e-mail to Clark's supporters titled, "Defending Lake Wobegon," the humorist accused Bachmann of “grandstanding and giving interviews to Fox News” instead of working for the district, echoing an attack line the Clark campaign has used.

Bachmann campaign spokesman Sergio Gor responded that Keillor's pitch "is yet another sign of a desperate campaign."

"The quota on comedy in Minnesota has been reached with the election of Al Franken," Gor said. "Garrison Keillor should stick to what he knows best, which is fabricating make believe stories."

From the comments:

Question for Bachmann supporters?

If you live in the 6th and vote for this woman, why? I would like someone to give five good intelligent examples/ bills passed that has helped your district during her term. I'm seriously interested in your response, and birther, taking the country back, fake socialism non sense doesn't qualify as real answers. Because that talk doesn't help people of the 6th get jobs, find education and help our quality of life. What were some REAL solutions she has solved during her first term?

Why Is Michele Bachmann Advertising on Kate Perry's "I Kissed a Girl" Youtube?

Watch here!

I thought Michele Bachmann was concerned that the possibility of gays getting marriage would teach children that homosexuality was normal, and natural and "perhaps you should try it."

Lyrics:

This was never the way I planned
Not my intention
I got so brave, drink in hand
Lost my discretion
It's not what, I'm used to
Just wanna try you on
I'm curious for you
Caught my attention

I kissed a girl and I liked it
The taste of her cherry chap stick
I kissed a girl just to try it
I hope my boyfriend don't mind it
It felt so wrong
It felt so right
Don't mean I'm in love tonight
I kissed a girl and I liked it
I liked it

No, I don't even know your name
It doesn't matter
You're my experimental game
Just human nature
It's not what, good girls do
Not how they should behave
My head gets so confused
Hard to obey

I kissed a girl and I liked it
The taste of her cherry chap stick
I kissed a girl just to try it
I hope my boyfriend don't mind it
It felt so wrong
It felt so right
Don't mean I'm in love tonight

Us girls we are so magical
Soft skin, red lips, so kissable
Hard to resist so touchable
Too good to deny it
Ain't no big deal, it's innocent

I kissed a girl and I liked it
The taste of her cherry chap stick
I kissed a girl just to try it
I hope my boyfriend don't mind it
It felt so wrong
It felt so right
Don't mean I'm in love tonight

Preview: Michele! The Musical Bachumanntary

I'm always amazed at the volume of creativity Michele Bachmann has inspired provoked. Here's a sneak preview of Michele! The Musical Bachumanntary (website):

Bachmann's Hero James O’Keefe Attempted "Punk" Seduction of CNN Reporter

Back in 2009, Bachmann praised Breitbart-brat James O’Keefe at a right-wing freak show called the How to Take Back America Conference:

“Defunding the left is going to be so easy,” said Bachmann, “and it’s going to solve so many of our problems.” She praised James O’Keefe III and Hannah Giles, the people behind the ACORN sting. “Hannah and James used Saul Alinsky’s ‘Rules for Radicals’ — that’s the community organizer’s bible — against ACORN! Brilliant!”

CNN has a bizarre story (article and video)about O'Keefe titled "Fake pimp from ACORN videos tries to 'punk' CNN correspondent".

CNN has a 13-page document outlining the plan to "punk" CNN supposedly because CNN is "biased against conservatives".

According to the document, these items were to be used to "punk" CNN reporter Abbie Boudreau:

Equipment needed

a. Video

1. hidden cams on the boat

2. tripod and overt recorder near the bed, an obvious sex tape machine

b. Props

1. condom jar

2. dildos

3. Music

a. Alicia keys

b. 80s romance songs, things that are typically James

c. avoid Marvin Gaye as too cliche

4. lube

5. ceiling mirror

6. posters and paintings of naked women

7. playboys and pornographic magazines

8. candles

9. Viagra and stamina pills

10. fuzzy handcuffs

11. blindfold

Huffington Post has more on the caper.

Does Michele think this latest stunt by James O'Keefe is "brilliant?" Reporters should be calling on her for her take on it.

Bachmann-Clark Debate Scheduled - Will Bachmann Duck the Debate?

Dump Bachmann has received the following info:

The first 6th Congressional District debate to be announced will be October 12 at 7 p.m. at the Stillwater Jr. High. Michele Bachmann had not confirmed her attendance as of Sept. 30.

One debate for the 6th District? That's it? And Bachmann hasn't confirmed her attendance yet? Looks like the debate-avoidance strategy for Michele has begun.

SUITCASE STICKERS

I've been posting a lot of funny things lately. Maybe it's because I'm in such a great gosh darn mood. Or maybe it's because I have been swamped with leather, grommets, rivets and the like that at the end of the day, after all of the fashion magazines have been read, and the blogs have been scrolled through- I need to take a fashion pause. Kind of like a pregnant pause, but with a better outfit.

Anyway.

I present to you Suitcase Stickers. How on earth did it take someone so long to figure out a brilliantly funny way to differentiate between all the black suitcases of the world?

Phony Farmer Michele Bachmann Alleges Farmers Committed Fraud Because They Are Phony

Michele Bachmann has no shame... no shame at all...

The Hill:

House Republicans on Wednesday charged that a multibillion-dollar settlement with black farmers supported by the Obama administration was rife with fraud.
At a press conference in the Capitol Visitor Center, Reps. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.), Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.) and Steve King (R-Iowa) alleged that a $1.25 billion Agriculture Department settlement to resolve discrimination claims included individuals who were never farmers.

That’s a rather astounding accusation coming from “Farmer Bachmann,” who lives in a posh $1.27 million manor on the 18th hole of a golf country club, yet still manages to harvest thousands of dollars each year in federal farm subsidies from the Bachmann Family Farm in Independence, WI. In fact, the Bachmann Family Farm has raked in more than a quarter-million dollars in federal farm subsidies on their Green Acres in Wisconsin since 1995.

Karl Bremer wrote a while back about one of those phony farmers feeding at public farm subsidy trough...

When I wrote in November about Rep. Michele Bachmann collecting federal farm subsidies through her family’s limited partnership, some claimed that her “no” vote on the 2007 farm bill, which would extend farm subsidies through 2012, cleared her of any charges of hypocrisy. After all, a vote against the farm bill was a vote against the very subsidies she was collecting, they argued.

But a closer examination of Bachmann’s votes on amendments to the 2007 farm bill shows that Bachmann wasn’t voting against the subsidy programs that she was reaping at all. In fact, she explicitly voted for them—even for wealthy farmers.

The issue of farm subsidies going to wealthy urban “farmers” who have never had dirt under their fingernails has become a political hot potato recently. So when the 2007 farm bill came up, the Bush Administration pushed for a $200,000 income cap for federal farm subsidy recipients.

In the House, Rep. Ron Kind (D-WI) offered an amendment that would end subsidy payments to farms where the average adjusted gross income of the farm’s owners exceeds $250,000. Bachmann voted against Kind’s amendment. The amendment failed by a large margin, 309-117.

The Bachmann Farm Family Limited Partnership, a 949-acre Buffalo County, WI, farming operation in which Bachmann owns up to a quarter-million-dollars interest, collected $47,128 in federal farm subsidies between 2004-2005, according to the Environmental Working Group. That same operation has collected as much as $127,868 in federal farm subsidies since the partnership was established in 2001.

It’s not known whether Kind’s amendment would have cut off subsidy payments to the Bachmann Farm Family Limited Partnership. One can only speculate whether that provided any motivation for Bachmann’s vote against the amendment, since calls and e-mails to Bachmann’s office on this subject were not returned.

If anyone would know about collecting thousands of dollars in federal farm payouts without ever getting dirt on her high heels, Congresswoman Michele Bachmann would.

Here is Bachmann and her creepy pal Steve King acting like prosecutors reading an indictment:

Letter to the Editor: "Bachmann does little more than talk trash."

LTE in the Woodbury Bulletin:

Is it appropriate to invite Rep. Michele Bachmann, to inform us of all the good things she has accomplished in Congress? I would rather hear what she has done and what she wants to do if re-elected than those negative ads she is running about her opponent. Does she not have anything positive to brag about? So far, I have not heard one reason anyone would want to vote for her.

Come on Michele, tell us what good things you have done for us. Also tell us how many times you have voted no on issues that have benefited Minnesota citizens. Then tell us something positive you would like to do other than run around the country talking trash.

I don't usually drop "F" bombs on this website (you know, because of all of the children who read my blog), but this was too funny to pass up. Happy Wednesday, everyone!

Michele Bachmann Compared Herself to Queen Esther in 2004

The internets are abuzz about the Vanity Fair article about Sarah Palin that mentions a fundy preacher's email that compared Palin to the Bible's Queen Esther:

On the night of the vice-presidential debate with Joe Biden, Palin received an e-mail marked “URGENT … Urgent for Sarah to read … ” The e-mail came from pastor Lou Engle, a prominent right-wing activist who identifies himself as a prayer warrior and is a central figure in dominionist theology. (Dominionists believe that, until Jesus Christ returns to earth, society should be governed exclusively by God’s law as revealed through a literal reading of Scripture.) In the e-mail, Engle compared Palin to the biblical Queen Esther. “This is an Esther moment in your life,” he wrote. “Esther hid her identity until Mordecai challenged her to risk everything for such a time as this. Your identity is ‘Sarah Barracuda.’ Esther removed corruption from the Persian government and Haman fell. She didn’t have experience, she had grace and favor. Sarah, don’t hide your identity tonight.”

From a Dump Bachmann post in 2007:

In a speech to Edwatch a while back Bachmann made the following remark about her efforts to pass the Marriage Amendment, helping to elect George Bush in 2004:

"I just cannot help but think of the Book of Esther... with Hamen who built a device to hang the powerful Jewish ruler and then to exterminate all the Jews and Queen Esther decided that she would stand, that she would jump out ahead of that curve-ball and save her people"

Michele as Esther, Marcus as Mordecai... and the King?

Well, Bush can't be the King anymore, Bachmann has a new campaign ad kissing off Bush... the same Bush Bachmann kissed at the State of the Union in 2007.

Maybe the new King is the "stunning" Rep. Steve King?

Reporters should ask Bachmann if she still thinks she is a present-day Queen Esther.

Why Does Michele Bachmann Hate Small Businesses?

Bachmann votes no on the Small Business Lending Fund Act of 2010.

The House passed a bill that would provide for a variety of small-business tax provisions, including a revival of an expired bonus depreciation provision to allow companies to write off assets more quickly. The legislation was sent to the President, who is expected to sign it.

Bachmann Calls Ron Schara a Liar, but Uses Schara's Picture

E. Nelson at Op Ed News:

Recent weeks have found Minnesota Representative Michele Bachmann in a war of words with Minnesota Bound host Ron Schara. The topic of debate revolves around how each one remembers the Minnesota Game Fair of 2008. According to Schara, a Minnesota sportsman of almost legendary fame, Bachmann displayed support for the Clean Water, Land and Legacy Amendment not only in an interview with Schara, but by wearing a pin as well. According to Bachmann, Schara is lying. She never was, and never will be in favor of using sales tax to support environmental causes and wildlife conservation that benefits hunters.

So, if Bachmann says Ron Schara is a liar, why does Bachmann have this photo up on her campaign Flickr site?

Tarryl Clark Goes After Bachmann for her Abysmal Transportation Record

Tarryl Clark speaking at AFL-CIO convention (video from the Uptake). As you would expect, Tarryl Clark talked about jobs in the 6th CD but she also talked about transportation - how Bachmann opposes and votes against funding for transportation infrastructure projects and later shows up at the ribbon cutting. She also makes the point that the delays in improving transportation infrastructure caused by Bachmann's inattention and opposition will cost taxpayers many millions of dollars.

Listen:

Tarryl Clark mentions Bachmann's longtime opposition to Northstar. For more about Bachmann's opposition to this very important project, let's go back to what former Transportation Commissioner and 2008 6th CD candidate Elwyn Tinklenberg said in an interview:

Tinklenberg on Bachmann and transportation:

She is about partisan polarization. She is about divisiveness. And the result is she has not been able to accomplish anything as a (state) Senator and she’s not accomplishing anything except in a negative sort of way in the district currently. We think we represent a strong alternative to that.

The district is the focus of some major chages in transportation, not only in terms of improvements to the existing system, but changes in that system. Northstar is a big issue. And I’m proud of the fact that I helped get Northstar started when I was at Anoka County. And now we’re making some progress on that. It’s disappointing to me that it’s five year later than what it should have been. It’s $90 Million more than when we introduced it back in 2000. Back then it was going all the way to St. Cloud, now it’s just going to Big Lake. So we’ve lost time, we’ve lost half of the line and we’ve increased the cost as result of the delays that came out of the Republican controlled House back in 2000.

I bring a record of having to do some things in transportation and some important things, the Hiawatha light rail line for example, as compared to Representative Bachmann, who when she was in the state Senate fought every transportation initiative that came along, has been a constant obstructionist for transportation issues in the state and has carried that on even now in her Congressional seat. She has voted three times to hold up funding for the reconstruction of the 35 W bridge. And I think that represents where her priorities are in relation to transportation issues .

She hasn’t been able anything done partly because of that kind of partisan, ideologue approach she’s taken to so many issues. But also she has used what support she has given to transportation, principally PRT or Personal Rapid Transit, as a way of really distracting the discussion of kind of delaying tactics in terms of transportation. PRT is not something that’s going to work to serve commuters. It’s not something that’s going to work to serve the transit interests and concerns and needs of Minnesota. And she’s using it simply as a distraction. She doesn’t really mean or intend to support any kind of increased funding for transit and she’s just using this as a way of diffusing the issue.

Speaking of Bachmann's favorite fantasy transport concept, the recent MnDOT PRT "workshop" was a total flop. Let's go back a little further to this 2004 MPR article

Supporters range from Minneapolis City Council member Dean Zimmerman, a Green Party member, to Republican Sen. Michelle Bachmann of Stillwater. Bachmann says personal rapid transit, like many political issues, creates strange bedfellows.

"People on the right, people on the left, we have the common goal of moving people with transit, but doing it in the most cost-effective manner, in fact, in a manner that may end up costing no government subsidy, it may end up paying for itself," she says.

Remember that guy "on the left" Dean Zimmermann? He's still promoting PRT. Reporters need to ask if that person "on the right" - Michele Bachmann if she still supports PRT.

JACK GERMAIN HANDBAGS: NEW WEBSITE

It's been a long time coming, but my new website is here. Both Pre-Fall 2010 and Fall/Winter 2010-2011 are up and prices, a shopping cart and many other things are on their way. With help (a lot of it) from some amazing friends, my website received a major facelift and is now the perfect setting to display all of my collections.

I met Tescia Deak on the subway almost a year ago. She liked my bag, I liked her attitude and from that a beautiful friendship was born. It is because of this by chance relationship that I have such a gorgeous website. My good friend Tescia performed the role of plastic surgeon as she went in there, dug deep, moved things around and pretty much redid the entire thing. Also, Tescia worked her magic so that you can not only view my website from your computer, but also from your iPhone. I couldn't have done this without her and I don't know where I would be without the love and support she is always giving me.

Another person who I couldn't have done this without is Nate Boguszewski. Nate's innate ability to see the beauty in everything he photographs is remarkable. From food to people and everything in between, Nate's unique perspective brings the best out of every subject he works with. Thank you, Nate, for the gorgeous photos you have taken of my bags for the past couple of years and I promise you that dealing with me will one day pay off. I love how we use the "you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours" policy, but Nate, I need to break out the essential body oils because you've been incredible throughout this whole process and I can't tell you how much I appreciate your work and dedication on this project.

Lastly, thank you to everyone who has supported me throughout the past couple of years. From family and friends to old teachers and coworkers, so many people have given me the confidence to do what I love and to not look back. I feel incredibly blessed and in my mind, if I do succeed, I know that I didn't do this alone.

Okay, enough with the sappy stuff- go check out the new website and let me hear your feedback!! It's not completely done (yes, I know some picture sizing is a bit off) but it's on it's way!!

Do Bachmann & Emmer Want to Reinstate Minnesota's Sodomy Laws?

Reporters need to ask that question. On Saturday's post we has the audio from Bradlee Dean's radio show in which Bradlee Dean mentioned that his new movie included video of Bachmann and Emmer. The audio also included a clip in which Bradlee Dean referred to homosexuals as "criminals". Bradlee Dean frequently calls gays criminals on his show which broadcasts now in Washington DC as well as Minnesota.

Bradlee Dean claims homosexuals are breaking the law because Minnesota's sodomy laws are still on the books and the 2001 court decision is invalid because, in Bradlee Dean's version of "constitutionalism" God's law overrules judges.

Let's take a look at that 2001 court decision:

The case challenging the sodomy law, Doe et al. v. Ventura et al.,94 was decided in 2001 by a judge in Minneapolis, Delilah Pierce. In one of the best organized challenges to such a law, a coalition of plaintiffs including Gay men, Lesbians, heterosexuals, and disabled persons, presented an array of arguments against the law, including some not seen in other states. Under Minnesota law, licensed professionals can lose their licenses for violating any criminal statute, whether or not that crime affects their profession, and any property renters can be evicted from rental properties for violating any criminal statute on the premises. As a result, the group of plaintiffs could cite both a fear of criminal prosecution as well as loss of professional livelihood and possibly a place to live if the sodomy law remained on the books.

These are examples the ACLU gave the court:

The ACLU's clients in the case are state citizens whose jobs, homes and relationships with their children were threatened by the sodomy law, including:

A quadriplegic married man who lives in Minneapolis, identified for privacy reasons only as "John Doe." Because of his disability, the only forms of intimacy he is capable of engaging in with his wife were among those criminalized under the sodomy statute.

A married elementary school teacher in Minneapolis, Mark Roe. Teachers can lose their credentials if they are found to be violating state law, including the sodomy statute.

A lesbian attorney in Minneapolis, who rents a townhouse. Identified as "Jane Doe" in the lawsuit, she could have faced eviction from her home because her lease prohibits illegal activity.

A gay law student in Minneapolis, Phil Duran, who lives in an apartment with a similar lease. Duran took the state bar exam recently - a test that could have been moot because individuals who violate state law, including the sodomy statute, can be disbarred.

A divorced gay man in Minneapolis, Kim Nyhus, who has visitation rights with his children. A former Methodist minister who is now working toward Episcopal ordination, Nyhus feared losing visitation with his children because of the state sodomy statute.

The Minnesota Lavender Bar Association, a group of and for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered lawyers and law students. The Association is a plaintiff on behalf of its members statewide, who were directly threatened by the sodomy statute.

The ACLU also noted the 1997 arrest and prosecution of a Beltrami County man who engaged in consensual oral sex with a woman. The sodomy law also was used for years to help prevent passage of a state law banning discrimination based on sexual orientation. That law was finally enacted in 1993.

There you have it - Bradlee Dean doesn't just want gays to be prosecuted, locked up, lose their homes and jobs etc... but hetereosexuals too. Every week, Bradlee Dean is advocating law enforcement persecute people for what they do in the privacy of their homes in defiance of the court's decision.

What Bradlee Dean rants about every week is nothing short of the overthrow of the government by a small bunch of theocrats that include Bachmann and Emmer. If Bachmann and Emmer refuse to throw Bradlee Dean under the bus, it should be assumed that Bachmann and Emmer share Dean's extremist views.

Reporters should also request the video clips of Emmer and Bachmann from Bradlee Dean's movie so the public can decide for themselves whether Bachmann and Emmer support Bradlee Dean.

During the 2008 campaign season, Michele Bachmann made an issue of Barack Obama's "associations" with Rev. Jeremiah Wright and William Ayers:

"Why isn’t it appropriate to ask about the formative relationships he’s had? The types of relationships that may have influenced Barack Obama’s views on public policy and on government decision making? Why is the media more intent on learning the type of plumbing license Joe the Plumber has than on exploring the obvious questions about Barack Obama’s formative relationships with people such as the Rev. Jeremiah Wright and Bill Ayers — people with views far outside the mainstream, where most voters find themselves?"

Are Bradlee Dean's views mainstream? Do most voters agree that everything except Bradlee Dean-approved sexual behavior between consenting adults should be illegal?

Let's listen to those clips again:

Don't Count on Reapportionment

I have often heard the remark (and repeated it myself) that Michele Bachmann would likely lose her seat if the 2010 Census shows a decrease in Minnesota's population.

That may not not happen.

Reader "Lady" left us this comment:

Minnesota might not lose a congressional district. To me this means it is even more important that HRM Bachmann lose her job, because her job won't just be "eliminated". Know anyone who needs to reminded to vote, or perhaps a voter who might want to use an absentee ballot because they'll be out of district? Now is the time for action.

Lady points us towards this quote in a Politico article:

"In addition to the Florida and New York changes, the other major switch in the projected reapportionment is that Missouri will lose a House seat instead of Minnesota, "

Bachmann and Pals Trading Cards - #4 Frank Vennes Jr.

From now until the election, Dump Bachmann will be presenting a series of trading cards called "Bachmann and Pals" featuring some of Bachmann's associates. Click on the trading card to make it bigger for downloading:

Here's a good summary of Bachmann's connection to convicted felon Frank Vennes Jr. by Karl Bremer:

In 2008, it was revealed that Bachmann had received tens of thousands of dollars in campaign contributions from Frank Vennes Jr. and his family. Vennes is a convicted money-launderer/cocaine runner/gun runner for whom Bachmann had requested a presidential pardon in 2007.

When Vennes became implicated—but never charged—in the Tom Petters multibillion-dollar Ponzi scheme in 2008, it didn’t take long for Bachmann to abandon her principled “innocent until proven guilty” stance. She quickly rescinded her pardon request for her close personal friend, and then tried to further save face by giving away a portion of the money she had taken from Vennes and family—although it was only $9,200 of the $27,400 she had hauled in from the Vennes family from 2005-2008.

Bachmann first tried to give the money to Minnesota Teen Challenge, a favorite evangelical charity of Bachmann’s that once had very close ties to Vennes. He is a former board member of the organization. However, Minnesota Teen Challenge allegedly lost $5.7 million in investments in Petters companies that were made through one of Vennes’ companies.

Rich Scherber, executive director of Minnesota Teen Challenge, said his organization sent Bachmann’s $9,200 check back without even cashing it.

“We didn’t want to be involved if it was dirty money,” Scherber said at the time.

Bachmann eventually found a willing taker for her tainted Vennes money when she donated it to R3, a collaborative of Christian recovery groups that happens to include Minnesota Teen Challenge.

Party Mode

At yesterday's birthday celebration of Nene, everybody seemed to enjoy the party atmosphere. We just love to eat....dance...laugh... and talk taking advantage of this time to update each other with our lives. To sum it all, Nene's birthday celebration was a big success and all the hard work that everyone has put in for the party definitely paid off. Let the pictures speak for themselves.

BLUE OYSTER CULT: BURNIN' FOR YOU

This morning my alarm clock woke me up with this amazing song. As I laid there in my bed waiting for the song to finish I thought two things: 1. It's been a really long time since I've blogged and 2. I wonder if this song has a music video? Two birds with one stone? I'm sorry it's been so long since I've written. This week has been absolutely crazy bags-wise as my Spring 2011 samples are almost done. I will definitely share some fun pictures/videos with you all in the coming weeks so that's something to look forward to, but in the meantime CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS VIDEO? I mean, if someone could please just explain the plot line to me it would really be helpful. What the hell is going on here? Nonetheless, this song is so damn good and just like me, I think you should all start your Sunday morning with a big cup of Blue Oyster Cult. Enjoy.

Bradlee Dean Movie "My War" to Include Michele Bachmann & Tom Emmer

In these two clips, Bradlee Dean talks about Target , Tom Emmer, Michele Bachmann and Rachel Maddow.

Listen:

More info about Bradlee Dean's movie here.

Comment from reader C.M.:

O.K., it's official. Heck has frozen over. I agree with Bradlee Dean.

Mr. Dean constantly says that gay people are criminals. Now stop me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Minnesota have laws against "sodomy"? Therefore Bradlee is technically correct. Practicing homosexuals in Minnesota are breaking the law.

Of course the law is unconstitutional, but it's still on the books because legislators are too gutless to repeal the law(s) even though they are unconstitutional.

I believe in the rule of law. Nothing sticks in my craw more than unconstitutional laws that are not enforced. If the law is wrong and is therefore not enforced, it makes a mockery of the whole idea of lawmaking.

If the problem is gutless officials, the solution is forcing the law to be addressed. Let's take the most conservative figures and say that Minnesota has about 150,000 gay people. They should all turn themselves in and demand that the law be enforced. Faced with 150,000 charges that would have to go to trial, combined with the fact that the law is unconstitutional, would mean the court system would be so swamped that legislators would be forced to deal with the situation. Even the most gutless politician would have to push to repeal the law.

I've heard that there is going to be a Pride event in the rainbow-hued 6th District. Have Bradlee and Jake go out and perform a citizen's arrest on everybody there. Get them to demand that the police do their duty and bust everyone. Bradlee and Jake could be responsible for showing everyone that the anti-sodomy laws should either be enforced or repealed. The stupid law(s) would be repealed within hours.

I'm sure that Mr. Dean will be the first to agree that all gay people should be arrested. I'm also sure that many would get a good chuckle out of Mr. Dean being responsible for the repeal of Minnesota's sodomy laws.

Comment from Karl:

When will the MSM start asking Tom Emmer how he got to be Bradlee "Kill the Homos" Dean's best friend? Seriously--how much longer can they ignore Emmer's connection to these creeps?

Michele Bachmann Parrots GOP Talking Points

Huffpo:

The following excerpt from Tea Party Caucus leader Rep. Michele Bachmann's website is a particularly florid example, however, of the tight connection between Tea Party leaders and GOP leadership:

Bachmann On Health Care
As the American people struggle to make ends meet, too many also live with the challenge of affording basic health care for themselves and their families. Any time a child or a parent goes without the care they need, it is a personal crisis for that family.

That bears a canned resemblance to lines served up by Republican party strategists:

GOP Party Talking Points
As the American people struggle to make ends meet, too many also live with the challenge of affording basic health care for themselves and their families. Any time a child or a parent goes without the care they need, it is a personal crisis for that family.
This sort of parroting may seem harmless. But the copying continues when the dialogue turns to policy prescriptions.

Bachmann (R-Minn.) goes on to cut and paste a full seven paragraphs from the GOP talking points. The only efforts to rework the language were to switch the order of two paragraphs, add a sentence and slip in three extra words.

Bachmann is just a GOP cheerleader. Here's a video of Bachmann talking up the GOP "Pledge to America" which "was put together with oversight by a House staffer who, up till April 2010, served as a lobbyist for some of the nation's most powerful oil, pharmaceutical, and insurance companies."

The Ettlinger Tor

The ECE shopping mall in Karlsruhe which opened in 2006, unites all kinds of stores under one roof. We did shopped here today in this modern mall with a lot of markets and shops inside. This big shopping center has several levels with a good selection of shops and some places for refreshments.
